So I found this open back A.L.C. top on sale and thought it was too interesting to pass up, I have a fascination with anything backless. It took me a while to figure out how I could wear it, it’s too long to just be a top with skinnies, and I didn’t want to put a slip under it and cover the whole back. I finally settled on a simple black mini skirt and I’m pretty happy with the result. Thankfully, the sun came out this weekend and I got the chance to wear it without freezing to death.

I came across this line at Project today and I’m officially obsessed. It’s a French school-girl inspired label called L’Ecole Des Femmes, designed by Laura Sfez- who I met, and she’s a total knockout. She has a boutique in LA, and you can bet I’ll be stopping by first thing the next time I’m in town. Everything is sort of moody and sexy but sweet and charming at the same time. So perfect.
I’m in Las Vegas this week for WWD Magic, FN Platform and Project. Today was Platform- my favorite. There was enough shoe porn for about 80 blog posts, but I did have lots of actual work to do, so I only got to snap a few quick photos with my phone. Of everything I saw, these Nanette Lepore hologram heels are the ones I’m coveting most. I haven’t added any hologram pieces to my wardrobe yet, so maybe this is where I should start?
As far as I’m concerned, leather shorts are a cool weather clothing item, and that makes it acceptable to wear them with heavy sweaters and boots but still have bare legs.
I’m in the awkward process of growing out bangs at the moment, so I apologize in advance for the next month of having them in my eyes all the time.

Favorite pre-fall collection. I love the high hemlines with the ankle strap heels. Sixties style shifts are universally flattering and never go out of style, and the outerwear is to die for.
