I’ve been an extremely distracted blogger lately, but I have good excuses. In the last three weeks I quit one job, started a new job, and flew to Omaha for five days to plan an entire wedding. I’ve barely had time to get dressed, let alone put together a blog-worthy outfit and photograph it.
First off, the new job is incredible. I feel weird giving too many details about my professional life on here, so suffice to say the company, team, and position are everything I hoped and more. I’m extremely excited about the whole thing.
Secondly, the wedding planning is actually really, really fun. Our families and friends have been super involved, so in spite of things being chaotic, the trip to Omaha was basically just non-stop hanging out with people I love. We still have details to finalize, but all the major decisions are made, and I feel like I can relax.
I wore this yesterday for much needed date night. The LBD is Amatoria. I love it, Derrick loves it even more. The blazer is Cameo. One of my 2014 sartorial goals was to start growing my outerwear collection, and for spring I thought I ought to start with something light. Et voila: an excuse to bring even more Cameo into my life. I plan to wear this over pretty much everything all summer.
