Apologies for the song lyric post title. I’m a die hard Arctic Monkeys fan and I couldn’t help myself.
I got way more into miniskirts and mini dresses in 2014, and I don’t see that changing in 2015. It’s partly because I think they look 60’s chic (and the 60’s are my fav fashion era), and partly because wearing real pants is wildly uncomfortable when you sit at a desk all day, so skirts + tights are the obvious solution. Also, I get to show off my legs. They were my most hated feature throughout adolescence and most of college, but grown up me has finally embraced the gangly-ness and now I’m making up for lost time.

I have a good style resolution this year. For all of 2015, I’m challenging myself to only shop secondhand or locally made for all my clothing. Most of my favorite pieces right now are thrifted or from Amatoria anyway, so I want to just cut out any other shopping and focus my attention on hunting down items that are more one-of-a-kind.
The only exception I might make is for shoes and potentially a leather jacket (should The One finally present itself). I’d like to commit to shopping secondhand for shoes, but I spend a minimum of 40 minutes a day walking, so good footwear is vital and I don’t want to limit my options.
Also on the Resolutions list:
Keep ignoring everyone who tells me I should wear less black.
Keep doing yoga.
Be the person at the office who can always answer any question about anything.
Eat three square meals a day, no skipping.
Read every night for at least 30 minutes before bed (I already do this, so this is more of a reminder to stick with it).
Hang on to more monies – only use my bank’s ATMs, bring my lunch to work at least 3 days a week, and always carry my own water bottle.
